Our Team
Tim Sander
Tim moved from the UK to Canada in 2006 to Port Hardy on Vancouver Island. He and his wife Natasha moved to the BC Kootenay's in 2009 where they ran a B&B, kept honey bees and worked in the local schools. Canmore was the next stopping point, moving here in 2016. In addition to working at Alpenglow school, Tim has got to know the local trails through his lifelong passion of running and skiing. He started working at Strides in the summer of 2019 and has since become a Certified Running Coach. |
Alex Stukator
Alex moved from Ontario to Canmore in 2015 after graduating high school to pursue a life in competitive Nordic skiing and in the process fell in love with the mountains. Since then, her Nordic career has changed to coaching and she now prefers to ultra trail run in the Rockies. She loves to spend her free time cooking, skiing and finding new local trails around the Bow Valley. |
Matt Hickok
Matt moved from Moses Lake, WA in 2018 and found the relaxed life of mountain town living with his wife and stepdaughters. Growing up and living most of his life in Portland, Oregon, Matt was pulled into the Portland running culture, needing a consistent athletic outlet, post university soccer. His love of road racing morphed into trail running to minimize injuries, which turned into a passion to explore all sorts of trails, FSR and fire lanes in Oregon and Washington. |
Anastasia Hendryanto
Anastasia is a prairie girl who has always loved the mountains. She moved to Canmore with her family from Calgary in 2020 so she could spend more time on the trails and less time driving in traffic. During her free time you’ll find her trail running, hiking, biking and paddling. |
Anna Sellers
Anna is a Canmore local who has grown up in the mountains running, hiking and skiing. She started competing in running races at the age of 4, competed in track and field through high school, and is now a member of the Junior National Team in Biathlon. She also continues to coach and compete in both cross country running and track and field and does professional photography in her spare time! She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in Nordic skiing and running to the Strides Canmore team. |
Emiko Arai
Emiko enjoys doing anything outdoors! Originally from Ontario, she is a recent University of Waterloo grad where she raced competitively and was on the varsity nordic ski team. She’s very involved in the Canmore community through Canmore Trail Culture, Dirtbags run groups and training with the Rocky Mountain Racers ski team. Shes up for any type of trail running adventures (with lots of snacks of course!) :). She will represent Canmore at the TransRockies race this August. |
